Our problem was strongly smelling cigarette odor from our vents, whenever the heat or AC would start up. The two technicians were courteous, and answered all of our questions. They wore masks, and covered their shoes, and put all the furniture back into it’s place. Our place has 22 vents that had to be accessed to clean the ducts, after which a soot sealer was applied via fog. We are pleased with the way this company dealt with our problem and would recommend them readily.

I had our duct cleaned last September. It was done very well and I was impressed that they drilled holes on duct so it is much easier to clean. The furnace and HRV were also cleaned. I was very happy. This March I started to smell something, sometimes burnt, sometimes dusty, but it comes and goes so I did not pay much attention to it. Last month it started to get worse and worse, very dusty smell, made me headache and cannot breath. Eventually I had to close the vent, but even that, I could still smell the dust. I installed vent filter but it did not help. So I called Jason, asked if they could come to have a check. They were very busy, but still two people came to my house and had a check. They suspected it is the furnace problem, and suggested me to have furnace checked, and recommend a good furnace company(Francis Fuels) to me, and even called the furnace company to explain my problem. The furnace technician came later and found the heat exchanger was bad. Later we replaced the furnace. After new furnace is installed, everything is back to normal, we can breath the fresh air again! Thanks to 1 Clean Air, the duct was cleaned very well initially, and later when there is problem, although not due to their work, still take time and came to my house, had it checked and gave good advice and eventually issues solved! We've had a very good experience with 1Clean Air and would definitely recommend them. Nick and Marc did a great job. Communication from head office was good, given the job had to be rescheduled a number of times due to the uncertainties caused by Covid-19. Overall we're quite satisfied.
